Nerd or Bohemian?

Here is just a sneak peek into my shoot for Blue Bird! Both images shot by the amazing Carmen Chan! I'm diggin both looks very much. One screams NERD while the other is totally boho rocker chic. Equally hot, but I'm definitely leaning towards the nerd look on this one only because I love a good pair of rimmed glasses, a worn out pair of Chucks, and a satchel cool enough to stuff all the best books in. What about you? What style would you sport this coming Spring?

UPDATE: two new pics to preview :) Hope you like!

Although I like the simplicity of black and white interiors, I also love interiors with lots of colors, different patterns and great art.
I don't think I'll be home much this February but once I get back to my apartment, I might have to go on a hunt for the perfect art piece and some great pillows that don't get much use. hehe

Clowning Around

(Vintage blazer, Hallelu dress, Cole Haan boots, Free People sunglasses, Bally bag)

This year has definitely been off to a great start. I got to work with a ton of great people, make new friends, and catch up with some old ones. This past week, I got to shoot the Olsenboye Spring campaign, directed by the amazing Steven Baillie, as well as work on a few other projects! The Olsenboye video series will be launching in March. I had the best time! I cannot wait to share with you all the details, along with some killer photos. I ended my crazy week with a relaxing, but totally fun evening out and about by the Santa Monica pier. I was browsing H&M on 3rd street when a woman with a camera and a business card came up to me. First thought was "uh oh" hehe because I usually always get awkward when recognized. But she happened to be the very sweet Alkisti hailing from Greece and creator/photographer of the street style website, Streetgeist! I am a total fan of her website and was shocked that she introduced herself and wanted to snap a few photos of me and my sister for her site! Her photography is amazing and I cannot wait to see our final shots! As the sun was setting, my sister and I ventured over to the Pier to meet an old friend. We got some sweet shots. There was clown passing by and I had to take at least one snapshot with him... i mean check out those sneakers!! So there you have it, my favorite photo from the day. I kept things simple with my favorite coral blazer, a sheer black mini, and my favorite flat boots. Perfect way to end an unforgettable week!

How to Tie a Turban

(H&M Faux Fur Scarf, Forever 21 V-neck Sweater, Tassle Belt from Le Jolie in Melrose, Vintage Snake print Belt, gifted Style by Marina High Waisted Shorts, gifted Botkier Haven Satchel, Chloe Lace Up Oxfords, Bracelets from Anarchy Street, Ring from Mom & YSL)

ok, probably not the best tutorial as I did this without looking in the mirror, but for those who have asked how I tie my little mini turban, here it is!
I used this from American Apparel.

More from the weekend

(Urban Outfitter's Hat, Anarchy Street Top, gifted Scarlet Room Skirt, Deena & Ozza Strappy Sandals, gifted Botkier Haven Satchel, Anarchy Street Bracelet, YSL Artsy Ring)

Isn't this skirt great? It's like a wearable fetish skirt for non-S&M girls. Every time I take this skirt off (btw, I do this when I'm alone. I promise.) I spread my legs and the skirt just falls off which is really fun to do. haha

Shredded Threads

(Storets sweater, Vintage shorts, Via Spiga boots)

Just a few snapshots of me after a meeting. We found an awesome little sidewalk showered with autumn leaves and took some photos, even with the innocent bystanders lurking by the trees watching (always a little awkward, but after blogging for about a year you get over it. Always think: "i just want a picture damn it!") Anyways, I'm so happy that with the warmth, I can just slip into a pair of shorts! My legs have never been so happy...or so white. Thankfully the weather looks like it will be beautiful again this week.YES! It will definitely make getting up early for work a hell of a lot easier. This day, I kept things super casual with a shredded pullover and some vintage trouser shorts. I like the combo of something totally ratted out with something completely clean and tailored. Makes for an interesting look, eh? I wish I had the energy to write you a deep, thoughtful, blog post, but I am exhausted! Have a fantastic rest of your week! Updates to come!

For now, take a look at MANGO's blog KEEP THE BEAT for a few outtakes from our shoot. Not long till the campaign launches! Click HERE!

Weather in California is too good to be true

4312
(Anarchy Street Faux Fur Vest & Athena Sheer Blouse, Vintage Levi's DIY cut-offs, Chloe Lace up Oxford Heels, gifted Botkier Haven Satchel)

With the temperature in the high 60's the entire week, it was hard not to wear shorts.
I'm going to LA later this week then off to a dream vacation next week as soon as school starts so I think my skin will have sun for awhile.
Btw, a few asked me if my hair was naturally wavy. I naturally have pretty straight asian hair but because I wash my hair at night without drying it, and make a bun, or loosely braid it with no hair tie, by the morning it gets a little wavy.

Abandoned Yellow School Bus

21
(Forever 21 Military Parka, H&M Faux Fur Collar, Forever 21 V-neck Sweater, DIY Levi's Cut-off's, Steve Madden Boots, Anarchy Street bracelet and rings)

These were taken after the dog beach when we headed for a seafood dinner.
Apparently, I felt the need to salute in front of an abandoned school bus. Being a curious creature, I looked inside the school bus and there were different type of animal skulls (steer heads, and deer horns?) and voodoo dolls with scary grudge hair. It was pretty interesting until I saw bare legs moving between the tie-dyed curtains that were hung inside the bus. I guess it wasn't abandoned after all.

Too Much Fun Getting Dressed

(Modcloth Sweater, 80's Purple tee, Vintage skirt and bag, Salvatore Ferragamo flats)

I've been playing around with everything in my closet lately trying to keep things fresh. Instead of staying simple like I normally do during the week, I decided to throw a few different prints and textures together. And here you have it, what I came up with. My mom ran into me as I was heading out the door and she was like "wait, you're going out like that?" and I said "psh YESH" under my breath in an annoyed-out daughter kinda way. It's such a comfortable look and I can't wait to wear it again even if it is slightly bagladyoffthestreetwhoforgottolookinthemirrorbeforeleavingthehouse.

As for what I've been up to, all I can say is things are crazy busy. I'm working nearly every single day next week. Not complaining by any means, I'm actually pretty excited. I've got some modeling and of course some fun blogging relating things going on that I can't wait to share with you! I have a day off next Saturday, where I'm hoping to spend the day meeting up with all my favorite LA bloggers! It's always so much fun when we get together because unlike most of my other friends, they LOVE taking pictures and don't get scared when I whip out the camera. Even though I'll be out and away from the computer most of the time, I'm going to try my very best to update the blog at night! Adios amigos. For instant updates, just follow me on Twitter! HAPPY WEEKEND!
