(Nanette Lepore coat, vintage sweater, J Brand jeans, "Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modernice" black BENNI boots)
This Nanette Lepore coat has been something I've been dreaming of for the longest time. It's got that rock n'roll retro vibe, but in a shockingly beautiful red/orange. Somehow everything looks good with a simple striped sweater and some skinnies! This weekend was one of re-wearing outfits over and over again. Dylana and our Philly friends were in town, and so we all kind of shared closets, mixing and matching what they had in their totes with what was in my closet. But most importantly, Dylana and I just got our hands on our first pairs of black, oiled suede BENNI boots! Part of our JETT collection, they're our simpler, tailored version on a woman's Chukka boot. Fresh out of the Modern Vice factory late Friday night, we took them out right away for a night of dancing at MAKING TIME...where bands like Tan Lines play live until 4am. So it's been a crazy weekend. Having friends over and running around the city like madmen. Dylana and I finally got to unwind Sunday evening in the park, with just a notebook, scribbling down song ideas...pages filled with whatever popped in our heads. It's really the only way to get anything done on weekends like this. The changing leaves and the calmness always help bring me back to real life before Monday morning.
